The way he connects with you is just breathtaking. The efforts put in to create the character of Nivin are simply applaud worthy.Īnother man who deserves all the praise in this world for making this film is Shyamaprasad. Even the prints on his shirts are that of octopus or fish or something related to aquatic life. He is fascinated towards aquatic life so all his clothes represent that and all his costumes are in the shades of white and blue. Special mention to the person who worked on costumes of Nivin Pauly in the film. It is not that we have not seen such characters in Indian cinema before but his character is familiar and very interesting. No matter what are his feelings in a particular situation but his that one expression is always intact on his face. Throughout the film Nivin has one expression on his face and he has maintained that look with so much ease. He plays a nerd and geek twenty eight years old guy having slight Asperger’s syndrome. He has undoubtedly given one his career’s best performance in Hey Jude. The film revolves around him and so much efforts on his character makes this one a special film and a special character for Nivin Pauly. I was extremely happy to see Nivin Pauly throughout Hey Jude. Even though these are some of the finest films in Malayalam cinema in recent times Nivin lacked prominence in both these films. The last two films of Nivin Pauly that I can instantly recall are Jacobinte Swargarajyam and Njandukalude Nattil Oridavela.
